What’s new, what’s coming.
A short, honest log of everything that shipped in CodeWhizz v2, plus what we’re working on next. Updated as features land. Existing v1 Pro subscribers — your subscription carries over; see pricing for the grandfather rule.
v2 launches
Whole new build. Live AI streaming via Claude Sonnet, real in-browser code execution (pyodide for Python, sandboxed iframe for JS/HTML, node-sql-parser for SQL), five hand-crafted showcase demos, and a redesigned UI from the ground up. Existing Pro subscribers stay at $89.99/mo, locked in indefinitely.
Showcase demos
Five marquee examples ship in the public showcase library — todo app, SaaS landing page, cursor-trail particle canvas, pandas sales analyzer, and a PostgreSQL cohort retention query. Each streams live and runs in your browser. No API call, no cost, no signup required to try.
Workspace handoff
Click "open in workspace" on any generation to take it into the Monaco-style editor with the original prompt visible. Single-file v2.0; multi-file iteration with AI follow-up coming in v2.1.
Brand refresh
New CodeWhizz logo (the gradient brain mark), new typography pairing — Newsreader for display, Figtree for body, JetBrains Mono for code — and a refreshed dark-with-warm-accent palette.
AI iteration in workspace
Edit the generated file, ask CodeWhizz to refactor it, get a diff back. Real back-and-forth on a single file rather than just one-shot generation.
Sign in carries v1 entitlements over automatically
Right now /signin is a stub. v2.1 wires real authentication into the existing v1 customer record so grandfathered Pro subscribers see their plan recognized the moment they log in.
More committed stacks
Considering R, Solana, and SciPy as a v2.1 expansion based on what eval coverage and customer ask-volume tell us. The bar is the same: ≥80% pass rate per stack on the weekly eval harness.
